Hair Loss Treatment Products Are Not For Me!
By: Gary Tooth

Ok, so when do men stop worrying about loosing their hair and stop wasting time and money on all the new-fangled hair loss treatment programs out there, most of which do little or nothing to restore a receding hairline. I'm talking from personal experience here and if I've got any advice to pass on it's this; if it really bothers you that much, try a few products, seek a little professional guidance regarding hair loss treatment, but don't do what I did and let the darn thing occupy your life for years and years and years.

Not only did I let the hair loss issue live in my head rent free (and I'm a landlord!), but everyone around me was getting sick and tired of me constantly going on and on about my missing bits. At the time I didn't care and held a little resentment towards those with a full crop telling me not to worry. But in hind sight, I can see I wasted years of my life simply because I refused to accept something that I couldn't change. Don't get me wrong here folks, it's not all bad news and some hair loss treatment products do work for some people, but I think there needs to be a cut off point for the sake of your own wellbeing.

I did go through a phase where I prescribed my very own hair loss treatment plan of action, and some of you will relate to what I'm about to write here. I thought that if I grew it long in those places it was still growing (namely back and sides), then all I would have to do would be to pull the long hair over the bald patches and cement it down with extra strong gels and sprays. Looking back at the photos from that time I cannot tell you how ridiculous I looked. I was so wrapped up in my own little world of vanity that I couldn't see it. I found out some years later that I had been affectionately nicknamed Pedal Bin.

The day of acceptance came out of a fit of rage funnily enough. I'd just had this huge argument with my girlfriend. She had threatened to split up with me if I didn't stop going on and on about my hairless head. She stormed away and told me to call her only when I had dealt with my issues.

I was furious, how could she not understand, Oh, easy I thought! I mean how many bald headed women do we know? I'll show her. I went home and shaved it all off. Well, all the thick growth around the back and sides that was. The idea was so that she could see just how grotesque I would look with totally no hair at all. But boy, did I get a surprise. When I'd done and held my head up to the mirror, I saw this smart clean cut young man staring back at me who looked fresh and respectable.

All those years of worry! All the upsets and obsessions. All that money, research, and trail with hair loss treatment products. And all the selfish, self centered, self seeking behavior that had become part of who I was. And for what? Vanity I guess.

Oh how my life has changed now, and if I can pass anything on to my fellow baldies, regardless of your age, it's this; try some hair loss treatment cures and remedies if you have to, but don't hold your breath as there aren't any miracle cures out there. If you can't find anything to stop, slow down, or rejuvenate growth, then do yourself a favorer and keep what bits you do have short to the bone. Tight, neatly cropped hair or a shaved head not only gives you a fresh look, but it feels great too. Heck, there are millions or bald heads out there through choice!

Hair loss treatment is worth a try, but loosing your hair is not a terminal illness. You don't wake up every morning throwing up. It doesn't give you stomach cramps, or back problems. Hair loss is quite natural among men and you owe it to yourself to be good to you. If you enjoy being you, warts and all, then others will enjoy being around you. You may not be able to get your hair back, but you sure as heck can get your life back.
